Getting to Rock Spring Farm
From the Twin Cities (3 hours) and Rochester (75 minutes), take Hwy 52 south to Hwy 44. Continue on 44 to Mabel, Minnesota, where you will turn right through the business district to Hesper. In Hesper, turn left (there's only one intersection). In three miles you will come to a blacktop: go across it onto the gravel road, and continue for two more miles to the next stop sign. This will be Highlandville Road. Turn right. Ours is the first driveway on the right; the house number is 3765.
From Decorah (20 minutes), take Locust Road north to 380th Street. Turn right. Continue two miles to the stop sign. This will be Highlandville Road. Turn right. Ours is the first driveway on the right; the house number is 3765.
From Waukon (30 minutes), take Hwy 76 north 15.7 miles to Cty Road A16. Turn left on A16, which turns left across a river in 0.7 miles. 5.8 miles from the turn, just after the Waterloo Ridge Church, turn left onto Lilac Drive. Continue on this very curvy road 3.5 miles to Highlandville Road. Turn left. Ours is the first driveway on the right, the house number is 3765.
